Sex tape – Welcome To The Magical Friendship Squad! http://michaelmurray.ca Michael Murray Writes Things Tue, 21 May 2019 23:50:28 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.5.2 Democratic nominee for President http://michaelmurray.ca/democratic-nominee-for-president http://michaelmurray.ca/democratic-nominee-for-president#respond Tue, 21 May 2019 23:50:28 +0000 http://michaelmurray.ca/?p=7430 After the leak of a sex tape

showing Elizabeth Warren donning a Trump mask and then engaging in sexual acts with a man who was also wearing a Trump mask, after Amy Klobuchar’s last name was discovered to have roots within the Russian sphere of influence, and after it was revealed that Kamala Harris hates animals, particularly cuddly ones, the ranks of women running for the Democratic nominee for President have been substantially reduced. With electability being the key concern, all white, middle-aged men are currently being considered. I, who have American citizenship, am one of these men. At the urging of my inner circle and after much prayer, I have decided to run for the Democratic nomination for President.

TRANSCRIPT OF THE PRESS CONFERENCE OF MICHAEL MURRAY’S CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCEMENT:

Ladies and Gentleman,

As you are all now aware, Donald Trump is an asshole.

Sorry?

No. No. Absolutely not. I did not mean to exclude anybody, I did not mean to be sexist. It was a mistake. I meant to say “Americans.” I’m a little nervous. Can we just start again? Really? Can’t this just be edited out? Sweet Jesus, you media people really are the worst. Also, interrupting is very rude. I’m going to bring back civility, you know.

Yeah?
Yeah?
Just watch me.
Okay.
Whatever.
I’m just going to move along now.

Fellow Americans,

My name is Michael Murray and I am running for the office of President of the United States.

What qualifies me to run this, the greatest country in the history of the universe, the country that gave the world baseball and fantasy baseball, Climate Change, Dolly Parton, Cheetos and sharks? It doesn’t matter. Suffice it to say that the members of my Sky Watch UFO Club were very satisfied with my leadership, and that my lack of a driver’s license is indicative of my visionary nature, as I could see an advanced, technological future that included robot chauffeurs. Also, I can almost speak two languages. Now, together, united as never before, it is time to take Trump down and Make America Great Again!

Shit.

Nerves again.

No. Not at all.

I meant Realize America’s Potential.

Yes.

RAP for short.

And we will have hats and buttons with that on it once the donations start to pour in. You can send me money here:

Together, we can Realize America’s Potential!

Michael Murray

International Men’s Day http://michaelmurray.ca/international-mens-day http://michaelmurray.ca/international-mens-day#respond Thu, 26 Nov 2015 17:04:37 +0000 http://michaelmurray.ca/?p=5563 My favourite holiday of the year is International Men’s Day.

happy-Men-Day

Falling every November, 19th, this  day gives me an opportunity to celebrate my masculinity, honour the patriarchy and let my robust heterosexuality roar. It’s a day that I mindfully live to it’s full, manly potential.

This is the journal of my celebration:

November, 19, 2015

6:20 am

Fed the baby and told him stories of manliness.

Jones

9:00 am

Had healthy breakfast of granola and a smoothie, as I have a variety of health issues. Told a story about eating bacon to my wife Rachelle while she and the baby played with a “found” rattle (childproof pill container of my anti-anxiety medication) on the yoga matt.

9:30 am

Began to think of myself as somebody named John Steele instead of Michael Murray.

9:45 am

Took Heidi, our Miniature Dachshund, for a walk around the block. Felt good to be out in nature, hunting with my animal. Met two other Miniature Dachshunds, both wearing argyle sweaters. Their owner told me their names were Simon and Garfunkle and to watch out for Garfunkle as he was “crabby.”

10:00 am

Played online poker under the name of John Steele and watched a variety of hockey fights and leaked celebrity sex tapes.

paris-nightvision-sfw

11:30 am

Read “The Littlest Acorn of them All” to my son and then put him down for a nap.

11:45 am

Made my wife a smoothie as she was headed out to a series of womanly afternoon appointments.

12:00 pm

Sampugita, our friend’s nanny, came over to look after the baby. I asked her many questions about her personal life and what dating was like for a young woman in a foreign country. Told her about a few of the sports I used to play. Tennis, in particular.

12:30 pm

Told Sampugita to make me lunch.

12:45 pm

Got text from my wife Rachelle, telling me that making lunch for me was not one of Sampugita’s responsibilities, and that there was left-over quinoa in the fridge.

I AM SURROUNDED BY FEMINAZIS!!!

Animefeminazi

1:00 pm

Went outside and threw rocks at the stop signs. A few of the kids from the Frat House down the street joined in and for a brief, shining moment, we were a beautiful Northern European tribal pack fighting the enemy. Hail Odin!

1:15 pm

Went home and played with my electric train set while listening to Gordon Lightfoot and slow drinking Jack and Coke.

3:30 pm

Posted my feelings, under the name of John Steele, on a men’s group message board.

4:30 pm

Watched Mike Tyson knock-out videos from the 1980’s, noticing that the boxers all had perfect, gleaming bodies, sweat-slick, they were tangles of beautiful male ferocity under the hot lights.

5:00 pm

Stumbled upon a video called “Johnny Rapid Goes Bareback.” Watched it while finishing my bottle of Jack. More posting on men’s message board under the name of John Steele. And then a little more.

6:00 pm

John Steele then went for a very long, confusing walk alone.

Travel http://michaelmurray.ca/travel http://michaelmurray.ca/travel#comments Tue, 14 Oct 2014 17:39:32 +0000 http://michaelmurray.ca/?p=4749 I wrote a piece about the top eight cities to visit in Canada for Wat Phnom Airlines Inflight travel magazine. (The article was translated from English to Cambodian and then through Google Translate, back to English.)

***************************************

Canada is a beautiful country full of picturesque natural settings, which include the sea, magnificent mountains, charming lakes, wheat fields and gorgeous tar sands. Along with the loveliness of nature, Canada also boasts many modern cities with bustling cultures all their own:

1. Toronto, Ontario

One of the most eclectic cities in all of Canada, Toronto has people of all colours. The city is home to many beautiful valleys and a lively waterfront with a view of the quaint archipelagos dotting the lake. However, there are often outbreaks of infectious diseases in Toronto, so many inhabitants wear surgical masks.

2. Halifax, Nova Scotia

Halifax-Nova-Scotia-820x480

Nova Scotia is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in all of Canada. Halifax is not only known for its truly impressive number of bars, pubs, and drinking, but also for it’s perfect gardens and beaches. Who Wants to Be a Millionaire was shot in Halifax up until host Regis Philbin was killed in the Great Flood of 2002 and shooting was moved to the US. Anne of Green Gables also died in Halifax.

3. Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

This beautiful area, full of leafy trees amid an otherwise treeless prairie landscape, appears on much of Canada’s currency. People of all colours and religions are now welcome.

4. Athabasca Tar Sands, Alberta

A stunning natural landscape and testimony to modern Canadian industry, the Athabasca Tar Sands are a must see for any visitor. Not only does the area teem with wildlife, but the city buildings are of such a scale that they generate their own, unique weather systems. Truly, one of the modern wonders of the world!

5. Victoria, BC

The retirement capital of Canada has a mild climate and is a must-see destination for any tourist who enjoys gardens and parks. Kim Kardashian and Kane met while visiting Victoria. In Retirement City, love is always in the air!

6. Montreal, Quebec

Montreal-Quebec-820x480

Famous for it’s topless beaches and smoked meat, Montreal is home to many festivals, shops, gardens, parks and a subway known as Le Grand Rocket. It’s a taste of Europe on North American shores!

7. Kelowna, BC

For those looking for a Canadian version of California, Kelowna is the spot. Known for its beaches, parks, gardens and Roller Skating, the city also has ski slopes not far away as well as helicopter trips for hunting Sasquatch from the air. Essentially, everything that one would want to do is within a stone’s throw making it perfect for any tourist.

  1. Ottawa, Ontario

Ottawa, the capital of Canada, is known as MONUMENT CITY, as it houses numerous national monuments. The beautiful cobblestoned streets–often full of civil servants waiting for municipal transportation– are perfect for strolling!

Shelf Esteem with Rob Ford: The mayor’s library http://michaelmurray.ca/shelf-life-with-rob-ford-the-mayors-library http://michaelmurray.ca/shelf-life-with-rob-ford-the-mayors-library#respond Thu, 05 Dec 2013 17:24:17 +0000 http://michaelmurray.ca/?p=3982 The Random House Magazine Hazlitt has a weekly column written by Emily Keeler called Shelf Esteem. In this column, authors and other notable figures talk about their home libraries. This week, embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, now punching back at allegations that he did heroin as well as crack, and then tried to buy the video evidence of this with $5,000 and a car, agreed to participate, and this is what he shared:

rob-ford-chicken-wings-600x236

I’m a pretty busy guy so I don’t have an awful lot of time for reading, but I tell you, I wish I did. I love that feeling when you’re reading a good book, like one by Stephen King, and you just can’t stop turning the pages! It’s like a friggin’ addiction or something and you just have to know who’s gonna be the next to get killed, you know? So exciting. Reading, it’s a real passion, if I had the time.

So on my bookcases you can see all sorts of stuff. This is a football. I got it a Bill’s game. It’s signed by Jim Kelly, the best goddamn passer of his era. I tell you, he wasn’t afraid of taking a hit in order to make the pass. Class act, Jim Kelly, class act.

Jim kelly
Over here we have my bobble-head doll. I look a little slimmer in it than real life, I guess, ha-ha! And this is a Toronto Argonaut football helmet radio. Had it since I was a kid.

This is the Bible, written by God, obviously. I take a lot of inspiration from it. Means a lot to me. Really, really would have liked to have to sat down and had a pint or two with Jesus. He was a real man of the people. This one is Chicken Soup for the Soul. It’s also inspirational, like a bible for people that haven’t yet had their Jesus moment. This is a book  about the cars from the Fast and the Furious movies. It’s pretty cool. By the way, I just want to say that it was really sad that the guy from those movies died, but at least it was a warrior’s death, so respect to him and his family.

f and f

Let’s see, I got some more stuff over here: some fantasy football magazines, Infinite Jest—never got through it—a Florida travel guide and Beloved by Toni Morrison. I wept like a baby when I read that book. Loved the line about being “full of a baby’s venom.” I tell you, if I were the type to get a tattoo, that’s the tattoo I would get. Toni Morrison rocks. Moving on, I got a puck here signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs, and oh, this is the Velveteen Rabbit. I’ve had it since I was a kid, it’s about a doll you can’t kill.
