One of my therapists suggested that I should make a list of people who reminded me of myself. This sounded like a fun homework assignment, and so I did it straight away. This is the list that I came up with:<\/p>\n

Martin Luther King\u2014For our belief in equality for all people, oratorical skills and fondness for alcohol.
\nAragon from Lord of the Rings\u2014As played by Viggo Mortenson.
\nErnest Hemingway\u2014For some pretty obvious reasons and the fact that we both look good in Greek Fisherman\u2019s sweater.
\nCaptain Picard of the USS Starship Enterprise\u2014Cool under pressure.
\nLenny Kravitz\u2014Fashion icon.
\nRoger Federer\u2014I am good at tennis, and I think we are both class acts.
\nMarcel Proust\u2014Writer who was a sickly child and who had close ties to his mother.
\nGeorge Clooney\u2014Salt and pepper hair.
\nSpiderman
\nNick Cave
\nMaurice \u201cThe Rocket\u201d Richard\u2014We both share a certain fire in the belly.<\/p>\n

I took my list into my therapist and we had a long and interesting talk about how I view myself in the world. Dr. Ellen said that she thought that now that we both had a clear idea of how I saw myself, that it would be a good idea to find out how other people viewed me in the world, and to see if the two matched up as it should \u201cin healthy and balanced\u201d people. And so, she told me to pick somebody who knows me very well, and to ask them to create a list of people who honestly reminded them of me, and so naturally, I asked Rachelle.<\/p>\n
